Display
The iPhone Duo features two high-resolution OLED displays that adapt to different ways of using the device. When unfolded, the expansive 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR folding display provides an immersive viewing area for multitasking, streaming, gaming, reading, and creative work. Its resolution of 1878 × 2670 pixels at 430 ppi delivers detailed visuals, while the custom nano-texture finish is designed to reduce glare. Wide-angle OLED technology supports consistent viewing from different angles.
When folded, the 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR outer display provides convenient access to everyday smartphone functions without opening the device. With a resolution of 1398 × 2034 pixels at 460 ppi, it offers sharp text, detailed images, and a practical interface for messaging, browsing, and quick tasks.
Both displays support ProMotion technology with adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz, HDR, True Tone, and the P3 wide colour gamut. Additional features include Dynamic Island, Always-On display, and Haptic Touch. The displays offer a typical contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1, typical maximum brightness of 1,000 nits, peak HDR brightness of 1,600 nits, outdoor peak brightness of 3,000 nits, and a minimum brightness of 1 nit. Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic and anti-reflective coatings further enhance everyday usability. The device also supports Apple Pencil (USB-C).
Processor and Performance
At its core, the iPhone Duo is powered by the Apple A20 Pro chip, engineered to support demanding applications, graphics-intensive games, multitasking, and advanced on-device intelligence.
The A20 Pro features a six-core CPU comprising two super cores and four efficiency cores, alongside a seven-core GPU with Neural Accelerators. A dual 16-core Neural Engine supports AI-intensive workloads, while hardware-accelerated ray tracing enhances graphics rendering for compatible applications and games.
An advanced thermal management system incorporating a vapour chamber helps sustain performance during demanding tasks. The combination of Apple silicon and the foldable display architecture enables a flexible experience across applications, including side-by-side multitasking and immersive entertainment.
